Abstract

This research aims to determine the implementation of the obligatory noon and Asr prayers for students at SMA Muhammadiyah 6 Palembang, to determine the influence of the obligatory noon and Asr prayers on the spiritual intelligence of students at SMA Muhammadiyah 6 Palembang, and to determine the factors that influence the spiritual intelligence of students at SMA Muhammadiyah 6 Palembang from obligatory noon and asr prayers. This research uses descriptive quantitative and correlation methods. The sample in the research consisted of 50 class XI students at SMA 6 Muhammadiyah Palembang. Research data collection uses a questionnaire method. Analysis in the research was carried out using descriptive analysis through validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, linearity tests, correlation coefficient tests, t tests, and coefficient of determination tests. The research results obtained show that (1) there is an influence of the implementation of the obligatory Midday and Asr prayers on students' spiritual intelligence. The correlation coefficient value for the product moment test is 0.2853, which is included in the low category. As for the coefficient of determination, the influence of the obligatory Midday and Asr prayers on spiritual intelligence is 8.14% and the other 91.86% is influenced by other factors outside the research, (2) the implementation of the obligatory Midday and Asr prayers for students at Muhammadiyah High School 6 Palembang, it was found that the results of the description of the obligatory Midday and Asr prayers were with a value of 0.9162 or 91.62% which was included in the very high category and the students' spiritual intelligence was with a value of 0.8066 or 80.66% which was included in the high category. (3) factors that influence the spiritual intelligence of Muhammadiyah 6 Palembang High School students from the obligatory Midday and Asr prayers are awareness of religious observance, concentration and focus, contemplation and reflection, virtue and morality, community and solidarity.
