Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of mothers in shaping children's personality development in Kuang Dalam Barat Village, Rambang Kuang District, Ogan Ilir Regency. The research employs a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data sources include relevant primary and secondary data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that mothers' role in shaping their children's personality is moderately good. Supporting factors include: 1) Technological advancements; 2) Positive environment; 3) Husband's support; 4) Positive peer influence; 5) Effective communication. Challenges Identified: 1) Digital era challenges; 2) Mothers' busy schedules; 3) Difficult-to-manage children; 4) Limited maternal knowledge. Maternal Strategies: Mothers employ various approaches in personality formation, including: 1) Quality time allocation; 2) Religious practice education; 3) Independence cultivation; 4) Fostering social empathy.
