Abstract

This research discusses the implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum for the Formation of Students' Disciplined Character in Pancasila Subjects at SDN 106 Padat Karya, Bengkulu City. This curriculum is implemented as an effort by the Ministry of Education and Culture to improve the quality of graduates and prepare them to face the future. This research uses qualitative research methods with a theoretical basis to guide the analysis. Observations and questionnaires were used as data collection techniques, involving class 1C students and class 1C homeroom teachers. The results of information from homeroom teachers stated that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum Learning helps students’ understanding of the teaching and learning process, especially in Pancasila subjects. Teachers have a key role in adapting teaching approaches, recognizing student potential, and creating relevant and enjoyable learning experiences. The Merdeka Belajar curriculum focuses on essential material, character development according to the Pancasila Student Profile, and the use of project-based learning. Inhibiting factors, such as the lack of textbooks, are overcome by increasing training and learning about this curriculum. The main difficulty lies in preparing learning tools, but a solution is found by intensifying training. The results of the questionnaire show students' understanding of Pancasila lessons, including symbols and basic concepts. This research contributes to understanding the impact of implementing the Independent Learning Curriculum on the formation of student character, especially in discipline and understanding Pancasila values.
