Abstract

This research aims to explore students’ difficulties in implementing the
Merdeka Belajar curriculum in Indonesian language learning. The method used in this
research is qualitative. The data collection technique is through tests, questionnaires,
interviews, and documentation that describes students' difficulties in learning
Indonesian using the independent curriculum at SD Negeri 16 Bengkulu City. so that it
becomes useful information and is easy for readers to understand, success in
implementing the independent curriculum at SDN 16 Bengkulu City can be achieved if
teachers can overcome existing difficulties. Based on the results of observations we made
at SD Negeri 16 Bengkulu City, we have implemented an independent curriculum for
Indonesian language learning in class 4D. However, students still do not understand
how to use the independent curriculum for learning Indonesian.
